Transformers questions by newbies, and not-so-newbies

So today, I bought a Metroplex, I'm having a real hard time installing the arm. I've tried it both ways. The black clip Vertical or horizontal (pictured)





neither position seems to lock in and the arm slides in and out to the end of the clip. the Vertical position is harder to remove but it still doesn't lock. is there something I'm missing?

that should just lock in. i had no trouble with mine or haven't heard of anyone having that kind of trouble. i'll check mine later and see if sits the same way as your clip. is there any of that left over plastic from the molding sitting in there? cause sometimes that doesn't get cleaned off properly.

HoCs have light piped eyes, SCF don't.

can't even make my MOSC HOC eyes light up

is there supposed to be anything inside the shoulder apart from the ramp? mine is pretty much empty.

mine is also empty and your clip is suppose to be vertical(the pieces that clip in) not horizontal. so you should be able to unscrew it and spin it around.

mine is also empty and your clip is suppose to be vertical(the pieces that clip in) not horizontal. so you should be able to unscrew it and spin it around.

Hmm, i've tried both directions, horizontal and vertical. the vertical is slightly better in that it doesn't just fall out. I'll take another photo or two of the inside of the shoulder tonight, there's no way this is working correctly. I have a feeling there's a piece missing fron the wall inside the shoulder.

Do Heroes of Cybertron PVC figures have takara stamp on them?
Just like the SCF?

How would you know if a figure was HOC (hasbro) or SCF (takara)?

The SCF usually come with holes in the feet so that they can be stood on their clear little display stands. Most HOC don't come with stands and hence dont have them. That's the method I use Otherwise just look them up on TFWiki

I've done a little research, it looks like mine is missing a clip on the inside wall of the shoulder. Mine does not look like this.


there is a black piece in there that the shoulder clip fits into. I don't have that in mine.

Nice idea. I just don't know why hasbro HOC should have takara stamp on them and they're all takara china too.
