Transformers questions by newbies, and not-so-newbies

If it's an actual set, and not just the blindpacked figures, I doubt it. I can't think of a Transformers product that (unfairly) bombed as bad as Kre-O did here.

The combiners come in boxes, separate to the blind-packed individual figures.
As such, I noted in this news item, the various boxsets and blind-packs you need if you want the "complete" Teams. (you just don't need those extra blind-pack figures when building the combiners in the boxsets)

OK... so to have a complete set of Combaticons I have to have already bought Blast Off which comes in blind-packaged in a separate wave however he is not required to form Bruticus? Man, that's confusing. If that's the case, I don't know if I can be bothered. Might turn to eBay to buy the 'complete' set (including Blast Off) depending on prices people are asking for them.

Is G1/reissue Mixmaster's barrel able to be removed, in case there needs to be a replacement or a differently coloured one placed onto it.

The G1 one is easily removed to be replaced by the purple one supplied in some of the upgrade kits.

I didn't even know there was a reissue coming, but yeah shortened smoke stokes, elongated missiles sounds right.

If you mean the upcoming one, then...apparently nope. It's supposed to have short missiles and long smokestacks.
If you mean the old Hasbro one, then yep - long missiles, short stacks.

I think the reissue re-releases are being done by Hasbro Asia, so since they aren't being released to US retailers, they don't need the "safety" adjustments.

Is the united Rodimus Convoy good, in terms of colours and paint apps.
I already have the mold, in the form of RTS Hot Rod, and I was wondering if it is worth getting for a good Rodimus Prime/Convoy in classicsverse, becuase RTS isn't as good to look at.
