Yes. There's a few fairs around particularly the two held at Sandown Park and Malvern Town Hall. Here's the details and dates. The Sandown one is coming up and is bigger than the Parramatta fair, but doesn't have as much Transformers stuff. In fact all of the Melbourne fairs are a little light on in comparison which is why we don't tend to gather at them as much as we used to a few years ago. (You'll notice that quite a few of the Sydney members have purchased off each other too)

Speaking of the Transformers Collectors Club (to digress from the theme of this thread momentarily), I've just rejoined after 5 years (was a member for a year then didn't bother to renew). I've yet to receive any confirmation emails or 'welcome' emails like I did 5 years ago, and the only club toy I can find is an Over-Run (Runabout) for $54!!! I had a look at the subscription service part and it has said it has closed. Is there somewhere I'm not looking, or am I not logged in properly, or has it just really gone downhill in my absence?

Oh, and is there a Collectors Club thread or area on this site somewhere? Had a look and couldn't find one so asking my silly questions here

The Subscription cut-off was a few months ago, so the only place you'll be able to get them now is BBTS, or ebay when they are released.

I'm considering branching out into some of the third party stuff, this might be a newb-ish question but who are the main players in the market, who make the best quality figures?
I know Fansproject is one of them but who are ones to look at and are there any I should avoid?

I'd be inclined to have a dig around the Unauthorised TFS section for best results as there is plenty of discusiion of various kits from Fans Project, Mastermind creations, etc etc.

I use those gift boxes with the lids. Got some from Target xchristmas sale for 50cents each. I have also covered tissue boxes with nice contact paper stuff.

Anybody ever used SAL Shipping from Japan? Is it reliable? I don't want to pay for EMS as it brings the cost of a figure to $45.
