What shipping do you guys usually use on BBTS?, I don't know if I should use the cheapest one because it doesn't have tracking.

I usually go with the cheapest. The tracking is pretty bad once it hits AusPost's hands. I usually see an update for it going into customs and then nothing until they deliver it.

That being said, my last couple of orders have been big POLs so they have made me upgrade my shipping due to the size of the order.

I always go with the cheapest, bad enough I have to pay to get toys sent that I should (and in the grand old days would) be able to buy at a retailers here fairly easily, without adding extra cost on top.

Yep, they did that to me with a POL that nearly came to a grand 8 months ago. Kinda negated the whole 'let it build up so the postage works out cheaper per item' thing

Trackable. Always have with any order, BBTS or otherwise where possible

Depends how much you're getting in one order. I usually have a Pile of Loot sitting until it gets to just under $1000 AUD, and ship. I've worked out that at that volume UPS is actually cheaper - it's more expensive up front, but cheaper per lb - which includes tracking at every stage as standard.

that pretty much describes every purchase I've ever made there.
the UPS works out to be very good value for large quantities of figures. much better than small quantities with any other shipping method. you just have to have a lot of stuff to ship.

I use UPS. It cost more up from but is $2 cheaper per pound. Also the USPS has a bad habit of letting my orders from the US in general sit around for days before it actually shows up at the first Post Office even tho they have had it for days. UPS on the other had just ships it without it sitting around.

Another question about BBTS, I want to set up my account tonight and the first thing I want to place in my POL are the Swerve, Cosmos and Tailgate, Shrapnel sets. But since these are on pre-order does this mean I pay for them immediately or when they arrive, or is it better if I place something thats "in-stock" into my POL first?. Sorry I'm a noob at this.

Pre-orders are only charged when they come into stock. and they only enter your POL once they've been paid for. As long as you have ticked that you want your POL active when they come into stock you'll be charged and they'll sit there in your POL until you click the ship my loot now button.

I'm looking at getting the new Transformers Novel, I've looked it up on the book depository and there are two entries:

a normally priced one

and a super cheap one

They seem to be by a different publisher with a different page count? what gives, is one a rip off of the other, is one a young readers edition with larger font?

I just don't get it.
