Does anyone know whether there are any major differences between G2 Megatron (large green tank) and the Japanese BW Megastorm version? Things like decals, sound effects, accessories etc... ?
+ Mould: identical except for copyright stampage. G2 Megatron is made in Indonesia whereas Megastorm is made in the Republic of China (Taiwan).
+ Stickers: The sticker on the mid-barrel which reads "Eat This Autobots!" on the right and "Big Stick" on the left reads "Big Stick" on the right and "Peace Through Tyranny" on the left. The bicep stickers which has the G2 Decepticon insignia and "81766" on Megatron instead has the Predacon insignia and the word "Destron." All other stickers on Megatron are absent on Megastorm. The "M" sticker on Megatron's solar plexes with the sticker indent has been replaced with a Predacon rub sign. Megastorm has a green sticker covering the battery compartment.
+ Sound: Megastorm has no sound gimmick.
+ Colours: Megastorm's green is nearly the same as Megatron's, but not quite as bright - more of a "grass green." The camouflage pattern ('spots') on Megatron are purple but on Megastorm they are brown. The tank wheels and caterpillar treads on Megatron are dark green but on Megastorm they're a grayish black. Megatron's "eyebrows" are coloured black but the rest of the face is purple. The upper part of Megastorm's face is coloured black - with the tip of the nose and lower part of the face being purple.
+ Accessories: same. Megastorm's missiles and gun are a more grayish shade of black like his wheels/treads whereas Megatron's are straight black.
answers for this topic is so frustrating to find
What are the main differences between Takara's 'Micron legends' toys and Hasbro 'Unicron series' (Armada - Cybertron) - (i couldn't find a reference online)
Of interest
#do the Hasbro Street action mini-con team come with indidivual tech spec cards?
#Does the takara Street action mini-con version come with tech spec cards , are there any paint app. changes?
#What toys came with human companion figures ?!!!?
#For toys that combine into a character (e.g Superlink Superion Maximus , does the new character get an individual tech spec?)
i tried finding these answersso thanks for helping me

Differences vary between toys - a lot of them are cosmetic paint differences, but some figures are the same. Depends on which toy you're talking about. The early Armada toys suffered from lazy paint apps on the faction symbols, something which Micron Legend never had.
Hasbro's Armada toys don't have tech spec cards. Their tech specs are printed on the back of the package and they come with stickers.Originally Posted by autobreadticon
They come with a tech specs card - one card for the team. The regular version doesn't have any cosmetic changes afaik but there are some limited exclusive repaints such as the CD exclusive animé colour version (has show-like colours) and X-Dimension version.Originally Posted by autobreadticon
There were no human figures in Armada/Micron Legend, only in Energon/Super Link.Originally Posted by autobreadticon
The standard version of Takara's Kicker was sold individually and there's a chrome anniversary edition that was sold with Anniversary SL Grand Convoy (also chromed).
Hasbro's Kicker (which is vastly inferior to Takara's IMO) came with Highwire.
There's one tech specs for the actual gestalt robot, not for the individual members.Originally Posted by autobreadticon
I thought the question was about Super Link rather than G1. *shrug*Originally Posted by Omega Supreme
