i noticed some deluxes are in bot mode but others are in alt mode, there are reason for this?

The robot mode deluxes are the preview figures, that will be released 2 weeks before the main assortment. All other figures are generally released in alt-mode, except the legends and basics (to fill out the packaging more to look like better value) and the Leader size (to make the 'larger' figures look more imposing in the packaging). The bits in brackets are the actual words from the Hasbro people at the Fair.

Man I was anticipating the 2nd movie devastator...I'm a big fan of combiners BUT MAN! The grotesque prototype makes me wanna cry...
