It just so happens to be that the people that usually work mornings aren't available then and that I conveniently do have the skills to do what is done in the mornings from my previous store.

I stupidly said yes because this was a last minute emergency, but I'm going to make it very clear to the grocery manager (who isn't my boss but has offered me this shift because of his screw-up of not having someone else back it up) that I'm only doing this shift once because working inconsistent hours really screws up my body. And I prefer to work during the night because I'm much more effective worker at night than I am during the day. Always have been.

I'm doing them this favour once and that's it. I just saved this grocery manager's arse and now he owes me. If he tries to get me to work mornings again I will flat out refuse them. And it's not a case of my workplace promising me hours by making me work in other departments, I'm one of the best night workers and am highly sought after in that department and can get all my hours from them.

May sound harsh but I refuse to be stepped on over by other people especially by those that made colossal screw-ups. He should have had someone else back up this shift and not come running to me just because I convenientely had prior skills.

    /rant end.
If you're finishing at 5.30 am on Friday morning I'm pretty sure WHS requires you have a minimum ten hour break between shifts, otherwise you should be provided with a means of travel to work that isn't you driving, and some serious overtime.

Er I start at 530AM and I finished at 730PM the night before lol.

Turned out to be an easy shift, I was half asleep and basically droned around.

    $!@&!!!

I just decided to have a crack at my guitar since I've been too busy lately. Dusted of the amp, tune the Ibanez up, plugged in, cranked volume and hit a chord… Hmm sounds a bit fuzzy. Distortion must be up to much. Turned it down. Played a few more chords. Same thing. Must be a dicky lead. Played with the leads while strumming so I could here if I fixed it.

Wait a minute. The volume should be making my ears bleed yet its pretty quiet. As this dawns on me suddenly the amp goes quiet. And hen it hits me… I have the input/output leads around the wrong way!!!! I JUST COOKED MY AMP!!! Shit. Damn.

    Crap.

Just went to TRU. Paid $30 for a Marvel legends fig.
    (theres one vent right there)

    Second vent here:
Why is it that despite the fact that I managed to find the tag for similar toys (IE other marvel legends figs) the member of staff who went to look for them couldn't find them.... It's not that hard people. I had to wait 10 minutes while he looked, couldn't find and then had to check on the computer anyway. Why couldn't he just check the computer in the first place??

This is after I had to climb the shelves to find the bloody thing since the peg was full of Wolverine. Good thing their shelves are very solid

On the plus side, if the figure I wanted was on the peg, someone else would have probably taken him anyway.

And who the frik is Hit Monkey?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yeah, I too needed a google of Hit Monkey after I posted

Ended up going to amazon.com and buying a Wolvey, She-rulk and a couple of older Select figures, total came up to $110 including shipping.

That's more like it. I think Archangel must be shortpacked or something as he was 30 bucks on amazon too!
