last night driving home I almost killed someone, a pedestrian.. rather a cyclist who was travelling at a lovely speed along a path, he then rode straight out on a pedestrian crossing in front of my vehicle,

if I was travelling the slightest bit faster I would be wearing him all over my windshield. the speed he was travelling there was no way to know he wanted to cross the road. I was already traveling on/trough the crossing before he decided to ride out in front of me

everyone always seems to be in a rush doesn't matter if they are driving or walking.

In my area there is always people wearing dark clothing that like to cross the road suddenly and from between cars.

Now by default, I always go slow because I don't know when they will come out.

Also yesterday, I had an odd experience with a guy driving a tradie ute. I came out of a drive way when a car was like 100 meters away on a 50km/h road. As I came out all leasurely, he deicide to blow the horn all the way until I finished coming out. Because he was so far, the horn was this big elongated racket that he continued pressing until he finally reached where I was. I don't know what his problem was, he was too far away to begin with and obviously he saw me at some considerable distance.

Unless designated otherwise, that cyclist shouldn't have even been riding on a footpath in the first place. In my neighbourhood, we often get cyclists who:
    1/ Don't wear helmets
2/ Don't use/have lights on while cycling at night
3/ Don't ride on the correct side of the road
    *sigh*

I seem to find a lot of thefts at the ToysRUs Garden City store, with the latest being this empty packaging found tucked behind some Transformers boxes.

I left my month old iPad mini at the gym on Saturday and only remembered at 22:00 and of course it was gone... I was so angry with myself for being so careless, I should have just thrown $400 dollars out on the street. This story has a good ending however because it was returned to me 20:30 on Sunday. faith in humanity restored.

Felt the rant thread needed a good energy story

Probably the same person stealing again and again.

I nearly ran over a woman trying to cross the road but distracted by her phone. Part of me wished I ran her down but then I thought about the dent she would have left on my car.

Speaking of phones, I had a lady tailgate me yesterday. The annoying thing is, she initially tailgated me because I was driving at 40km/h in a normally 60km/h zone because there was roadworks and temporary signs installed that said "ROADWORK 40" -- and as everyone knows, it means you have to slow down to the roadwork speed limit, not continue driving at the normal speed limit! But even after we left the roadworks area and I sped up to the regular posted speed, she kept on tailgating me! Later on we were side by side at red lights, and I noticed that she was texting on her phone. The lights turned green and as I took off, I saw that she hadn't moved, and the car behind her beeped her. #carma

When I'm driving, tailgate = handbrake.
