    Default Where's Barricade?

Saw the movie a second time, keept an eye open for any cameo's ect but sadly I just cant find Barricade.

What happened to him? He was a very popular character in the first movie, kids loved the ' cop car '.

Yeah, Barricade seems to keep escaping death on account of technicalities.

I didn't spot him either, despite the fact Orci and Kurtzman said he would be back for ROTF. Perhaps his fate will be revealed in the DVD deleted scenes? Though I have a sneaking suspicion we many never see him again.

It was an odd exclusion in TF2, since he featured a bit in the TF1 sequel and TF2 prequel comics. I didn't read those two comics until after I saw TF2, but I'd think fans who did read the comics would have expected him in TF2 because he was included in the comics.
And since the writers at BotCon 2007 stated 'if it didn't happen on screen, it didn't happen' (referring to Barricade not being dead because it only happened in the comic adaptation), I don't know why they didn't use him.
And I think Hasbro must have expected it as well, with a new Barricade toy being released.

I've heard that Barricade died in the novel "The Veiled Threat" - not entirely sure as I haven't read it myself. Novel spoiler ahead

    From TFwiki:
"Prime and the Autobots enter the (Coliseum), and Prime promptly falls through a trap door to a subway tunnel extension and into a strong set of restraints arranged by Carrera. Starscream then proceeds to attack the remaining Autobots while a helpless Prime is confronted by a vengeful Barricade. Before the Decepticon can dispatch Prime, the humans attack Barricade and Prime manages to work himself free. He easily hands Barricade his skid plate and returns to the surface where Starscream has fled."

Indeed he did, but.... turn away if you do not wish to be spoiled by the spoilers.

unfortunately, (or fortunately if you're a 'Cade supporter,) everyone's favourite evil cop car managed to dig his way out of Prime's make shift rock prison and disappear into the yonder. Leaving fans only to speculate his whereabouts.

I think that's a fair assumption for average people about Sideways. Sideways was never named, he looks a lot like Barricade in robot mode, Barricade and was the Decepticon car, and Bumblebee, Skids and Mudflap all changed their car modes.

The mistake about Jazz on the other hand

But remember Michael Bay made the film for people who don't care who the Transformers are, just that they look cool and blow things up.

Yeah but you hardly see Sideways in robot mode and there 2 totally different cars. Bumblee Bee's change was only cosmetic some people didnt even notice that and at least Skids and Mudflap you see actually change Sideways you dont.

He took a holiday in Egypt with the Doctor and Sam's two dogs, and together they caused so much trouble that they had the entire Egyptian army come after them. Thus explaining why they had to ask the Jordanian army for help.

Well, that's what Internet Personality Vangelus thinks, and I think it's brilliant.
