After playing both the PS3 and the Wii version, I have to say the PS3 is the game to get, the story is fairly close to the movie. (the wii version is not even close!)

Wii version looks pretty terrible handles sluggishly, but shooting is far easier on the Wii, thanks to the wiimote. It reminds me of the Avatar and TMNT games on the PS2 more than anything else. The major downside is that you cannot transform, except when pulling of a super move that is too easy to accidentally trigger.
If you have a Wii, do not pay full price for the RotF game, its more fun than I thought, but not what I would call a good game.

PS3 controls take some getting used to, but once you do, the game is a snap, the only downside in terms of gameplay is the stupid time limits to earn medals, getting the Platinum times for some levels is more or less impossible, even after you have beefed up your characters (Autobots beef up alot easier than the Decepticons). Downside from a fans point is that having characters like Sideswipe and Jolt would have been perfect in this game, but no new RotF Autobots are added (Breakway does not count).
