It's funny. For a series that's supposed to fill in continuaty holes, the latter AHM's making some of its own.

Since the Machination is run by a Transformer, shouldn't the scientists know that it's not a simple machine they're working on?

Why are there people making out in the room with Sunstreaker's head? I thought the Machination had security.

Who are all those robots in the first page, anyway?

No wonder I don't count AHM as existing.

At least the art in this issue doesn't make me want to rip out my eyes.

Sad that 5-6 other writers have to come in and clean up the mess of one poor writer, who it still seems had no idea about what he was writing.

Who's the big green guy on page 1 of AHM #14. It's not the robot mode of G1 Bulkhead from Spotlight: Blurr is it?

The head of the Machination is a Transformer, but as explained in Spotlight: Ultra Magnus, he works through several layers of lackeys, with only the top level employees (I am assuming Dante and maybe one or two others) knowing who they really work for.

One of the people is one of the scientists working on the project. Coming in at night. He has the proper security clearance. Guards probably won't notice until they see the strange behaviour on the TV screen. Even then, they'd probably just leave them alone and watch. Again, remember, most Machination employees don't realise they work for a Transformer.

The robots right at the beginning are the people that Sunstreaker either led, or worked with, before he was transferred to Earth. That one's right at the bottom of the page.

Looks like more of McCarthy's trademark generibots to me, woo!

Aside from the generibots (sigh) it looks kinda interesting. Goes into explaining why Sunstreaker hated humans so much that made him go turncoat.

yeah true reminds me of RAAT experimenting on Skids in the G1 Marvel comic. it's nice to see competent human villains rather than the usual overly cocky moronic ones.

And yet he put up with having Hunter for a head.

The entire purpose of their dissection of Sunstreaker is to turn Dante into a Headmaster for Scorponok. I don't think they DON'T know about the giant robot at the top.

While I can buy that those who work at the lower corporate level of his front companies have no idea what is really going on, I have a hard time believing that the people working on the top-secret Headmaster project would not know who their real boss is. I also don't know why the scientists would be amazed at Sunstreaker speaking, considering the field teams heard the Autobots speaking during Escalation.

And yes, the purpose of this whole Sunstreaker capture is to turn their agents and Dante himself into headmasters for giant robots.

I refuse to believe this. This is Shane McCarthy needing an Autobot traitor for his unrelated All Hail Megatron (originally) alternate universe storyline and grabbing a Furman character who had been in a traumatic situation.

Sunstreaker, a jerk that he is, is an Autobot, albeit a particularly egotistic and abrasive one. If he didn't at least believe in the cause, their mission and have a sense of right from wrong, he wouldn't be the Autobots. Sunstreaker KNOWS humans in general were not responsible for his situation. He know Scorponok and those who work for the Machination did all of this tto him. In Maximum Dinobots, he wanted revenge against the Machination, not humanity.

What annoys me is people are so willing to take this half-assed after-the-fact "explanation" as a good reason for why Sunstreaker betrayed the Autobots and wanted the humans dead (for no apparent reason) in AHM, because those were the whims of the author for his own story, not for the characters written by another writer.

    For crying out loud.
