I'm hoping this has a positive impact on the counterfeit toy market on ebay, because if we are more active (against the illegal listings) than the sellers are (of those items), we remove a big source of their income. Less profit for them should discourage them from replicating more figures.
There are two ways to use this section to help out Fans and non-fans, who get stung purchasing Fake Transformers (either from these listings, or later when these toys get into circulation among the collectors).
The first way to help is - if you find a Fake/Counterfeit/illegal Transformers toy (including Knock Offs that are different size/colour/parts), post up the link as a new topic. And try to paste a copy of the reporting method (below), to make it easier for others.
The second way to help is - when you see a new topic posted here, follow the procedure (below) for reporting illegal listings, and post a reply in the topic to say that you've reported it. (this lets me know how responsive people are to this idea)
If you find that the listing has finally been removed by Ebay (because it was reported), post in the topic to say that it was successfully removed (so that others don't need to target it anymore, and we can see how successful this idea is).
HOW TO REPORT ILLEGAL LISTINGS TO EBAY
Look at the very bottom of the auction page under other options. "Report this item" is there as a text link.
Next choose:
Conterfeits and copyright
Potential Trademark Infringement
Other replica or counterfeit items
Click continue. Next it will give the option to include more item numbers and for you to put in a description if you choose to, then click send report.
(thanks to MV75 for that guide)
If this section doesn't attract enough interest after a few weeks, I'll remove it, so that the forum isn't padded out with dead sections.
