I assumed he meant he painted them, otherwise it seems like an odd thing to mention. Also that he placed that sentence after describing the thigh mod he did.

I think the eyes do look to be a bit of a darker shade of blue than the standard Hasbro colour, but that could very well just be the lighting of the photo.

Obviously someone doesn't mind it, whatever the explanation.

Just getting this on here in case any of us are bidding on it. Cut and paste from KO section.
Hi team, this item is currently on e-bay and getting a lot of bids and the seller clearly states it isn't a KO but it is as per here http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....ht_1253wt_1170

The Sunburts exceeds the Gridline border. I have sent an e-mail to the seller with this reference.

If I am not mistaken I think the seller also sets up at Nexus fair and I would assume that they are oblivious to it's KO status. Most likely it was fobbed on to them as a legit original and they just believed.

That's the main problem I've had with KOs that aim to pass off as originals - that other people will try to resell it thinking it is the real thing. No matter how "noble" a dealer might try be with making it known that they are selling a fake, it's down the line that someone will end up spending a lot of money on a fake, or try to resell it claiming that it is real... which rips off someone else who isn't aware that fakes exist.
At least if the toys and packaging were obviously coloured differently, you can still buy the rare mould without contaminating the pool of authentic toys, to the point that collectors end up avoiding certain figures just in case it is a fake.

Thats a pretty good point, I hate the KO's but can accept that people want to knowingly buy them for whatever reason, but I guess me generally thinking of people as good never considered that the same person would on-sell one as original at some point just to make a buck.
Some figures have become toxic to buy loose in the last few years but with all things the buyer should beware and do their research, there is more than enough info online now to cover one's buttocks when hunting the G1 gems. One tactic that I have noticed from dodgy e-bay sellers is to have out of focus pictures or parts purposefully cut off to hide that it is a KO,.............I don't even want to go into accessories, be they fake or repro!!

And that's why my only KO, of a small Vehicle Voltron vehicle, has had prominent sharpie writing added to the back of various pieces saying 'KO' and 'FAKE'.

It doesn't hurt the displayability of the piece, and it means that no matter what happens to me, the likelihoods of it being mistakenly sold as real are signifigantly lowered.

Just got word that TFSource had put plenty of TF items on eBay, including lots of G1 goodies. Unfortunately, the listings has ended. I assume just very recently. I don't have eBay account but would have been good to share with fellow board members had I found out earlier!

Did anyone pick up any bargains, interesting or rare TFs?
