Unreleased prototype Energon Leaders (both were planned as Universe 2003 redecos, each packed with a Worlds Smallest Transformers toy). The pair of incomplete prototypes are likely to be one-offs, with a starting bid of US$995 (no bids yet, and just 15 hours to go).
It's actually their third time listing it in the last month, dropping the price by about $100 each time. They have so many prototypes, they'd have had to have been a Hasbro employee, or someone really close to one. (many of them are selling for less than $100 though, because there isn't much demand for prototypes of released items... and there are so many KOs out there that could easily replicate a prototype's colours)


Recent discussion about purple Autobots had me looking for the JP purple redeco of Elita-1 from 2010, and I found this listing of a large quantity for US$39 with free shipping. The packaging didn't have any Japanese on it, but apparently that's how it was released in Japan in 2010.
(the seller is from China, and on ebay for 10 years - they have a lot of other Transformers, some that are pretty cheap that have free shipping)

Are the Energon leaders truly classed as prototypes?
They are redecos of figures already produced... albeit in different shades.
He's got quite a few test shots there.
The Energon ones don't look very appealing and the thing about Hasbro is that they may very well release these guys in these colors in the future or as official Botcon toys... Then that $995 would seriously not be worth it.

That set of 3 prototype Energon Hotshots are a pretty good price. I really dig the all-link Energon Shockblast - makes him look like a giant decoy!

It's Action Master Elite Double Punch. He's missing his scorpion legs/robot feather fandance fans. Charger next to him is also rarish. As is the very sad Diaclone Blitzwing junker, unless it's a knockoff. I'm not a person who would pay $160 (shipped) for that lot. But maybe someone else is.

Being just a minor recolour of something I already have two of, it's not something I'd pay more than a couple hundred for... and since it is now an investment figure, I wouldn't be comfortable trying to haggle with people who can get a lot more than that for it on ebay.
