I recommend following the TFW thread about this G2 Menasor auction, it has collecting heavyweights Karl Hartman and Pete Sinclair adding in some info, along with the seller of the item answering some questions.

    1 million dollars!! mwahahaha.

amazing stuff. I never thought i'd see them for sale.

Even his packaged Botcon Breakdown is over $800 atm

Last time i saw one sell (a few months ago) it went $500ish. it was a 95 version though

Hopefully it doesn't get bought by a KO maker who opens it and starts production.

At about page 25 (or 250 posts) the seller has posted up more photos of the toys in their bags, plus the two unreleased Auto-rollers (which ended up getting done in Japan during the Beast Wars era in different colours).
They are likely to be on ebay soon as well.

TFW is likely to archive the images somewhere, but the seller said that they'd remove them after the auction is over... so go copy them while they are there (if you can).

Also listed by that seller on ebay is a carded Laser-Cycle Jazz (also unreleased Gen2 toy), plus a carded Gen2 Breakdown (which could be one of the 600 produced in 1994 for BotCon and AFXcon). It doesn't make it any cheaper though, as the bidding shows that there is more demand for the Breakdown (which we know 600 exist) than the Lasercycle Jazz (which there is likely to only be 5 or 6).

Too early for a bidding war. Check it again in four days. The last one finished at around $2k I believe.
I think it had a sticker over the artwork instead of the instruction manual though.

Although it seems odd that breakdown is going so high already.

Why wouldn't a KO maker just use a G1 Menasor and figure out the colours and stickers based on photos?

Probably couldn't do much better with faded (custom faded?) 20 year old plastic.

    Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right thread, but it is eBay. Been meaning to ask you all this for a few days now. I just bought Encore #20A Devastator from eBay a few days ago and here's the listing: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=111393824295

Can someone verify that this item is authentic Takara? I just found that the box colours and the back of the box looks different from my other Encore boxes and the seller is of no help at all. I wouldn't want to pay so much for some high class knock-off item.

    Thanks for the help.
