A: g'day . thank you for your honest words. i agree with you. im as honest as you can get and take pride in what i do. i spent alot of time and patience on this guy. repainting, taking video's and at least 100 photo's of the entire process and in the listing. some will appreciate it and some will hate it. i listed this guy for what he cost me. im not getting rich off him. already now you can buy some cars registered on the road cheaper than a complete fort max or some transformers. some people aren't aware that values will continue to increase continuously untill they become so rare that no one is willing to sell a fort max or just simply cant afford him. ill take your 2 cents and multiply it. thank you for your interest.")

Well, first of all, I thought Battle Gaia was a Bruticus repaint and Guard City was the Defensor repaint, which this is, which looks nothing like that.

It actually is Hubcap, just not the G1 version. The ebayer has listed it incorrectly, and DD is just quoting the item's listing (but could have mentioned the error for those who aren't familiar or are new). It's Machine Wars, which was released in 1997. Definitely not G1, which ended 1991-93, depending on your perspective.

Machine Men/Gobots, yes. It is fairly common on ebay though for people to label a variety of convertable toys as Transformers just for buyer familiarity. It's usually not intended to decieve, if it isn't used to describe a KO.

Please refrain from using derogatory terms here. You can point out what someone is doing that is wrong, but just don't call them names. And ease up on the criticism too once the point has been made. We are all aware of what this particular dealer has done with that Fort Max, we don't need to continue crucifying him over it. It's just petty, and makes us look bad.

We can alert the members here of any dodgy behaviour on ebay, but leave it at that. That is all we can do here. We don't have the authority to hound ebayers as if we are some elite source that they should bow down to or follow.

That looks to be a counterfeit Guard City. As Jay pointed out, Battle Gaea is the Combaticons redeco, Guard City is the Protectobot redeco.
Either way, that's a lot of money for a counterfeit Transformers toy.

I think it's an honest mistake on therawhyde's part. They don't sell KO's and I do believe they have no specialisation/knowledge of vintage jap G1's. I could be wrong though.

I did not realise this was actually a hubcap, only Machine Wars figure I had seen previous to this 1 were Prime, Starscream & Prowl - I forget this line exists alot.
