Really? I don't know... it's got some G1 to it as well (except for the colors of course). I've had someone else tell me they didn't like the head, but I like it. At least you can tell it's Soundwave! What I don't like about this toy though is its finicky transformation.

It sucks doesn't it.

You get a handful of wealthy fans who pay more than they should on certain figures without holding out for a cheaper option, and everyone else who has one suddenly won't sell for less.... leaving the rest of us on ordinary wages with toys that are now out of our reach.
And then you have toy dealers working together in various Asian countries to prevent any cheap figures from getting out - according to what one toy dealer told me in Singapore (they keep an eye out for any private sales of cheap toys, get someone on the network to get to it first, and then price it at their store at the inflated rate).
