Default TF2 DVD won't have IMAX scenes again?

According to Michael Bay's own website, the US storechain Walmart, has secured exclusive rights to the release of the TF2 movie WITH the IMAX scenes. That means the regular release (which we will see here), won't have the added IMAX scenes. And a US exclusive will be region coded, so we won't see the DVD released here (and the Blu-Ray release will be NTSC, so will also not be released here).

There appeared to only be 2 added IMAX scenes in TF2 (compared to 6 in TF1), but once again shows how capitalistic greed prevents the masses from having access to something that shouldn't be restricted to just one outlet. There should be the standard, '1-disc/2-disc/x-disc' releases, and let the general public have access to all in every store, buying the one they prefer.

It's like certain events restricting people from using specific products or even credit cards, because the organisors are getting paid big bucks from certain companies, without caring how it inconveniences the general public.

I guess I'll have to find out if Paramount AUS or Hasbro AUS have any plans to have an AUS release of this produced...

    That is complete crap.

Keep us updated if Hasbro are going to release it here as well, maybe they will come to their senses.

I can understand Walmart securing it for the US, but it's simply un just to deprive the rest of the world for an extra how many seconds of CGI goodness. There must have been some serious cash involved to hinder that many extra sales from the international market.

I believe all of Paramount's Blurays are region free anyway. Just import them.

Now its interesting you say that because Michael Bay is offering Autographed copies to international customers. Maybe getting it wont be such a drama after all. if it's true, its mine
