Help - if you buy trade TF's using Aus Post - new cubic weight!

As many of us trade transformers and post using Australia Post, some of you might have encountered this problem and already found a way to solve it.
But Australia Post has instituted a new cubic measuring pricing policy, which makes larger sized parcels EXTREMELY expensive to ship now. But the real kicker is that they have made "cut-off" limits for parcels now, beyond which they will not even accept the parcel.

If you're just shipping small scout, deluxe or voyagers, no problem. Try to ship a larger box with multiples, or wider items (I had trouble with RID Landfill this week), or let alone Supreme size items, and they won't ship them period.
This only applies to outgoing parcels (incoming ones from the US, for the time being, seem to be fine.... I tried shipping an item back in the same box though, not accepted)

Has anyone else encountered this problem before, or knows of an alternate shipping / courier service that is nation wide? I'm less concerned about paying more than I am about NOT being able to sell /trade large items.

So you're saying it applies to outgoing international mail?

If so, then that would be a fault on the other end not accepting them wouldn't it?

From my understanding and experience, its all about keeping below the 140 cm girth limit (for international packages that is) and around 1m or so in length.

Not sure how long it has been in place for, but a few months back, I found that I couldn't send those big JayJays posters because of one dimension being too great. Even though the length limit is set at 105cm, the girth limit is set to 140cm, which means that the other two dimensions can't be more than 70cm in total (the US postal service has the same thing, which forced a couple of us at BotCon to repack stuff we were posting home, because the dimensions of the boxes were too great).

Seems to be outgoing within australia as well as international.

Griffith, how DID you get around the problem if you were unable to send through Aus Post?

i had the same problem, auspost refused to send the parcel, after getting quotes from fedex etc, i had to break them up into 4 smaller parcels that just got thru the size restrictions.
