...yeah, that's really stupid. And again, I find this occurs more frequently with electronic gaming (but it does occur too frequently with table top games too). What I like to do with noobs is to create some kind of handicap. So for example in SWMs, I might let my opponent play with really powerful characters like Jedi knights, Sith Lords, Mandalorians, bounty hunters etc., and I'll field a team of weaker characters, like say Imperial Stormtroopers. This still allows me to play as I usually do, but with a relatively weaker team. And even then, I still go easy on them... I don't do slack things like using an astromech droid to override a door and lock my opponents' team in a room or use techniques to improve my Stormtroopers' attack rating (e.g.: stacking commander effects, combining fire etc.). I might do it once or twice just to show them how it's done (cos let's face it, once someone uses a good tactic on you you'll remember to use it back!), but I'm not gonna keep hammering them with it... unless they keep making the same silly mistake (like walking across my adjacent squares (-_-))... but that's more like I'm teaching them a lesson rather than just trying to show off with "total pwnage." Sometimes if a noob is really struggling I'll even break the rules and let them field a team with more squad points! (e.g.: 150 pt squad vs. my 100 pt squad)

I like it when a new player gets good and they start pwning you! (cos then you're reading to take your gloves off and have a good game). So if you want a new player to give you a challenge then you got to guide or coach them to get up to your level (even surpass you!)

I think every player needs to remember that we were _all_ noobs at some stage. (^_^)
