    Default Masterpiece Black Convoy released.

For those who were interested in this expensive redeco, it has been released now, and there are pics out of it and what it comes with.

The toy and it's packaging, plus a bonus metal nameplate and comic.

It also shows the only other change to this figure - the two wrist-com stickers.

    More pics here.

It still includes a cardboard trailer, but in the new black deco.

Doh, what bad timing for me $$ wise.
Guess I will try and track one down in the New Year .. or wait for a Target import :-)

Apparently this comic comes with the toy, but not with the first batch (?).

Maybe it's like their last (Ehobby) exclusive (Gadep the Blue Omega Supreme), because not everyone got a comic with that toy either.

So how many releases of this MP are there and what are the differences?
Which brings us to where we are today...

I believe the "first batch" shipped from online retailers were actually Hasbro Asia stock. While Black Convoy is only available in Japan from e-hobby, the same toy (sans comic) was made available for mass order for other Asian countries from Hasbro. So a number of online retailers probably sourced theirs from Asian distributors instead of e-hobby.

There was a comic with the e-hobby Sunstorm reissue as well.

Cool, thanks. I thought I read something about there being a different set of covers for the comic - one color the other monochrome... or something...

no, the asian market version (i.e. not Japan) had no comic but was released a lot earlier (nov 26 to my knowledge), it also had everything else including the pouch and metal name plate

while the e-hobby version (just released) has the comic and is only available via e-hobby in Japan

not sure if there is any other differences between the two, since packaging and colour scheme seems the same

    I'm torn.
I don't have any of the other eHobby comics, and the display stand does look cool. Any quality issues between the two?
