Sydney is a place I have been to so often, it is almost a second home to me now. As such, the second leg of the tour to Sydney wasn't as big
an adventure as Tasmania, and therefore has a lot less details and pics of it.

A week after the trip to Hobart, we (Dispensor and I) were off to Syndey for the quarterly Parramatta collectables fair.
The previous times I had gone, the earliest flight (and daylight saving) would never get me there before it started (and in one case, after
the forum members had already left the venue).

I decided to overnight it in Parramatta, and flew down the Saturday before, booking accomodation through the same lastminute.com.au website.
The hotel I got was within 10 minutes walk from the Fair venue, which suited me perfectly.

Saturday 21st, I actually went to sleep the night before, despite the earlier start than the previous week.
I probably should have stayed up, as I ended up getting to the airport 3 minutes too late to check in (I had a check-in bag for all the toys I
was bringing).
Fortunately my flight (on QANTAS) was a free, freqent flyers flight, so they were kind enough to put me on the next flight without charging
me the re-booking fee.

For anyone who knows the TV show 'My Generation Rules' on Ch10, the young comedian (Josh) who represented Gen-Y, was a passenger on
my flight down to Sydney.

Arriving in Sydney at the new time of 11am (Sydney time), I had to kill some time before checking in at the hotel at 3pm. I started off in
the City, and took my master around to see the sights...

Opera House.

Harbour Bridge.

(It was a fairly warm day, and I was carrying around 2 bags with me...)

Walking to the CBD, I stopped in at Myer (was hoping to find some Movie Legends toys), but found a second Channel 10 celebrity instead...

Huey.

I then headed off towards Parramatta by train, and was at the hotel at around 2pm. I was going to wait in the lobby, but they said they
had rooms free, so was checked in.

My master approves of the accomodation...

After getting changed and cleaned up after all the sweaty walking, I headed off to the Westfied (5 minutes walk away).
Spent a couple of hours browsing and buying (TF2 Movie Mug and new 4 Animated Activators).
Grabbed some HJs, and returned to the hotel.

Next morning (Sunday 22nd), as dawn was breaking, I got up, got packed and ready, and left for the Collectables fair, arriving about 10
minutes before it opened.

Met up with over a dozen forum members, and showed off some toys.

Unfortunately, my return flight that day was at 1pm, so had to leave around 11am (it was a quick 3 hours...).

Returning to the airport by train, I actually managed to check-in within the 30 minute cut-off, but by the time I reached the bag-drop
counter, it was too late for them to take my bag, so was told to take it on the plane with me.

Back at Brisbane airport by 1.40ish, and back home by 2.30pm

This week, Dispensor and I are staying home in Brisbane.
Next week, we're off to the Northern Territory's capital, Darwin. Report on that later...
