The interaction between NEST figures is intentional. We have some that are linked by story(in their bios), some linked by accessories (Scouts can use Ironhide's weapons, and Ratchet can apparently use Lockdown's EMP blaster), and some are linked literally (like Mindwipe and Skystalker).

When I look at Brawn's robot mode, why do I think of Man-At-Arms? Looks great.
I think Ratchet looks a bit poor, but love Lockdown. Skystalker looks nasty and mean which is cool.
