Well since they are Chinese reissue items, proberbly $80 each for the Road Caeser stuff, $70 each for the Landcross stuff and unknown for the other stuff, maybe $80-$90 each.
I'm going on what I paid for some of the items (2 of 3 for both Road Caeser and Landcross) but no doubt someone else would have something different maybe.
I was even thinking about keeping an eye out for this but I think it might go well out of my price range.
(I'm not an expert, but this is what I think...)
These are Chinese issues (rather than reissues) and arguably are even rarer than the Japanese releases. However, the online community seems to think that they are of lower quality than the Jap issues. I don't know one way or another, but I've certainly seen more Jap issue Victory toys than I have Chinese issues.
If the quality is more or less the same, then the box graphics are the only difference (between the Chinese issues and the Jap issues).
If a bidder thinks like that, I would expect their bid prices to approximately correspond to prices they would bid for the Jap issues.
Roadcaesar individual boxes = US$320 (bearing in mind that Laster is MISB)
Landcross individual boxes = US$200 (bearing in mind that these have been reissued and are available relatively cheap)
Liokaiser individual boxes = US$800 (never been reissued and in high demand; I was going to say $500, but there is an auction for a loose Liokaiser set on eBay that is already at US$650 now)
That's around US$1320 total.
BUT, I doubt that someone will shell out that sort of cash in one go, so chances are the lot will go for less than that (as counter-intuitive as that sounds). Or if someone could shell out that sort of cash, chances are he/she would already have some of that figures in the lot and therefore bid lower (eg: Im mildly tickled by this lot and can spare US$1500 on it, but I won't because I already have Jap issue Liokaisers in better condition that those. So I might say bid US$500-$600 to 'try my luck', but am unlikely to go more than that because I'd rather be getting a Jap issue Roadcaesar and/or Landcross giftset with the same amount of money).
As already discussed in the Ebay Auctions topic, these Chinese release TFs are legit, as they were produced by Hasbro for the Chinese market. As such, they are rarer, but the Chinese element to them has collectors weary of them, fearing an relationship with KOs.
See here though - http://www.reocities.com/futuristgroup/vchina.html
Never knew that they Chinese issue might be rarer than the Japanese version because I see more of the Chinese ones more than the others, especially one ebay.
My comment was partially conjecture on my part. I don't see Chinese TFs often, but maybe because i've not been looking.
China is a huge country. I wouldnt rule out the possibility that there are warehouses full of Chinese TFs that just didnt hit the market in the '90s and is just sitting there.
Back in 1999, a friend of mine actually found G1 US boxed Transformers that were simply 'lost' in a Thai warehouse. He bought 5 cartons each of US boxed Hound, Ramjet and Thrust from the guy and sold them on eBay. Bidding went up to approx US$600 a pop (bearing in mind that we are still 2 years away from the first eHobby reissue of early year TFs).
Marrine v Hydrisk may be sitting on such a warehouse, who knows.
I've been watching him for about two years now. While he does have a lot of Lios, Road Caesars, and Landcross's, they're not consistent. They might be Loose, Complete, MIB or MISB, sometimes giftsets, sometimes not.
However, I do think he's sitting on cases of MISB Nightbeats. He even tried to sell a case once, but it didn't sell, so he seems to put a few up periodically, and some go for quite cheap.
