    Default IDW's May TFs comics

Maybe we should rename this thread IDW Solicitations?

For May we have Ongoing #7, Wreckers #5, Ironhide Miniseries #1 (the solicitation still gives no indication of when it will be set...) some movie crap, and interestingly another hardcover collection that is... set in a timeline:
    - Megatron Origins
    - Spotlight Blurr, Cliffjumper, Shockwave, Nightbeat, Hotrod
    - Infiltration 0-6

Not sure that is the correct timeline, but hey its an unseen move by IDW!

Another Hardcover collection... hmm. The timeline aspect is interesting but then something further miniseries or spotlights can mess the timeline and make it a little useless.

Hope this doesn't mean the Premier Hardcovers are scrapped. I'm looking forward to the next volume in those.

Nah, best to have a new topic, so that people see that there is new news, and not just someone posting a comment on an old topic.

The comic news above (and cover images) can be found here on IDW's site.

From memory the Energon Trades never made it past Volume 1 as Dreamwave filed for insolvency before they could even release all the individual issues that would have made up volume 2, let alone release the V2 TPB.

    Or pay their writers/artists...

    Short answer is no.

I would have thought IDW had enough for a second volume, since they labelled the first one as Volume 1. A bit like false advertising, or getting our hopes up if they don't release more.

There are enough issues for IDW to release a Volume 2. Maybe the other DW reprints didn't sell that well? (Given the generally poor reproduction quality it's not that surprising.)

I think that there is your answer. IDW's DW reprints have been substandard in paper quality, and no extras to make them worth picking up.
