JP Animated 'Diablock' figures revealed.

TFs has another go at doing Lego styled figures.

The last attempt was Hasbro's Built to Rule line, which failed within months of its launch.
This time it is TT's turn in Japan, with 2 Animated figures as part of the 'Diablocks' line - Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.

Each is transformable once built, but in the case of Optimus, that ability seems to have spoilt any resemblance of the actual toy.

They look to be an April release, at about AU$35 each.

Was a little tempted. The Diablock version of G1 Prime wasn't bad. But these new Animated ones don't look as good...

That's right, you have the Optimus/Convoy one (which I saw at your place). The 'Shockwave' style face bugged me too much, and at least these two have fixed that flaw by giving them actual moulded heads.
