US Animated Arcee variant.
Sounds like Arcee toys are becoming more frequent in America (the link below describes seeing quite a few to notice this).
People have found a running change with the plastic of Arcee. The first ones had sparkly, glossy pink plastic, but now they are appearing with a duller matte plastic, like the JP versions apparently.

Some people are commenting that the original version of Arcee shouldn't have been sparkly anyway, as other Animated toys weren't. But I think it deserves to be a bit fancy, as it was a limited edition figure, and is a character toy we've waited on for so long.
This is probably irrelavant info for us here though, but in case anyone ends up with one, they will know why it is different.

Had a look at Justowen's JP Animated Arcee yesterday, and compared it with my US version, and the running change described above matches the JP version. The JP version has a matte/duller pink plastic with less speckle, so I guess Hasbro got some more produced for their TRU stores when TakaraTomy were producing theres. Not enough demand for a new production run of their own, but worth doing while the JP ones were being produced. It just meant a different colour plastic, but kept their black decos (JP has brown).

Dang. :/ It's going to be fun tracking tracking both down. Looks like the second matte finish run is more common too.
