From memory isn't the Elite Guard from the early days of the G1 Universe?

I get the feeling that they're in the Elite Guard in order to build toward something. Maybe a reason why there is no more Elite Guard in the later G1 Universe?

Sprocket, Rumbler, Tap-Out, Blast Off, Onslaught, Swindle, Brawl, Blacker/Gripper, Braver/Lightspeed, , Laster/Flame, , Crosscut, , , Powerflash, Vortex, Heavy Metal War Hologram, Delta Seeker, Metalhawk, Roadfire, Dion, Kup, Thunderclash, Flak, Landshark, Sentinel Minor/Prime, , , Over-Run, Pre-Toy Fair Hubcap, Ironfist.

I think some of the ones I don't recognise are characters from this year's Botcon comic. (Which I haven't read.)

I haven't had a good look at the poster yet, as I was going to do that when I got home, but lost it on the way home...

But, since there were a heap of new characters listed at the Collector Club panel at BotCon, it is likely that a number of them are in the poster (so won't be recognisable).

The Elite Guard concept is retconned into Gen1 - at least, I don't recall it ever being mentioned before Animated.

And as for the Combaticons being part of the Autobot Elite Guard - that's part of the plot in this year's Club Magazine comic. We just have to find out if they change sides by choice, were always Decepticons infitrating the Elite Guard (like Shockwave), or if they were converted/reprogrammed into Decepticons.
