how to tell the difference b/w DINOBOT Sludge

Hi Kup

I am looking for some advice and identification when it comes to two sludge dinobot figures i have.

the sludge on the left is with the rub sign ( and a place/square for it to be) - hasbro marked

the other takara sludge has no square and no rubsign (maybe lost over time?)

your expertise would be appreciated

I'm not Kup, and I'm not someone who's particularly interested in date stampings, but I believe they're both 1985-86 release Sludges and that the one on the right is earlier than the one on the left and could (maybe) be a Diaclone version.

I have the same two markings on my Sludges and both have rub signs on the back of the dino neck. Both are TF releases so I would guess the Hasbro one is just a later release.

No, Classic Sludges should have mould stampings with Takara wiped out. That's why I said these were both '85-'86 releases.
