Default Ten movies you must own on BluRay?

As a recent owner of a PS3 (which has a BluRay player), I wanted to buy a small selection of movies to make the most of it (and the full HD TV I have).
The reason I only want a small selection, is because I already have a heap of DVDs, and don't want to be doubling up unless it is absolutely worth it.

So, basically I am after recommended movies, that are at their full potential with High Definition (and Sound), or are best viewed at that standard.

Reasons are optional, but would help with my choices.

TF:ROTF IMAX (US Walmart Exclusive) edition should probably make the list.

If you're only going for something that looks / sounds great in hi def, I propose Avatar... wouldn't rate it in my top 10 though.

One of the best films brought over from DVD to Blu-ray is 'Sin City'. I only have three Blu-rays because I couldn't see the point of replacing my entire DVD collection, the first two being the Transformers films, the third being 'Sin City'. The picture and accented colour are nuts in HD. I've been meaning to pick up 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' too, and loophole has a point with 'Star Trek'. Watched it at a mate's place on a 60" and was blown away.

Gotta agree with Star Trek. All the Transformers movies (even the cartoon one), Terminator 2 is pretty sick. Maybe ask The_Damned he has a pretty sweet set up and a few blu-ray movies.

Avatar is only worth watching on Bluray, and I'll third Star Trek. The Batman and Ironman films look pretty snazzy too.

My mates with PS3's only like terrible movies, so I'm more able to tell you movies that do not look very good on bluray...

These are the best looking films I own on Blu, in no particular order, so I can vouch for pic quality.
My library of High Def media (Blu & HD DVD) spans 90 films/shows) and I watch them on a Full HD Panasonic Neo Panel Plasma the retailed for $2800 and is considered one of the best of the '09 models.

    1. Dark Knight
    2. TF1/ROTF
    3. Ironman
    4. Anything from Pixar (Up looks particularly stunning, I also own Wall.E & Ratatouille on blu)
    5. Fight Club
    6. Tropic Thunder
    7. Spider-man 3 (it looks great, that's about it :P)
    8. Star Trek (new one)
    9. Hellboy 2
    10. Monsters vs Aliens

I'd love to recommend Terminator 2, but they went overboard with the noise reduction and it really hurts the image depth. A must for big fans, like myself, but not really reference material.

    .
I'm curious as to why you included Fight Club and Tropic Thunder? Great movies but does it matter how good of quality it is to watch it?
