    Default Board maintenance last night

Catching up a little at the moment (spent most of this week in bed with the flu).
    Last night:

    - Re-organised the Unauthorised Products section, so that the replica items are now in their own sub-section, separate from mass-produced custom items that are only inspired by the Transformers Brand or IP.
The section can be used for reviews as well, while acquisitions can be posted in there or in the regular Acquisitions section.
I'm hoping this section is a suitable compromise for those who like mass-produced custom toys and accessories, as Kup made me see reason that I shouldn't be using my own prejudices against these things to prevent a large number of members here from collecting what they are interested in.

    - Member sale feedback and Group orders are now sub-sections in the Member sales section. Plus, two sections in Vector Sigma are now merged back into Vector Sigma. This is to also concede that there the board isn't as streamline as it could be, as some had mentioned. From the main table, it takes out a chunck of space, but each of the Sales sections still exist in their entirety, just at the top of the Member Sales section.
Other sections are just too specific to warrant merging, or making them a sub-section of another. Quite a few people come here for an hour or more a day and want to have more available to do, so I'd rather make this a more expansive 'community', than a super-streamlined, 5-minute stop (for those who have 'lives' in the real world).
Fanscans will still continue, sporadically as I get time.

    - Vector Sigma section is now hidden again to non-DMs, to make the board look more 'inviting' by not having a heap of 'Private' sections on the main table.

    - Fem-fan section trial has now ended. It apparently works on other forums, so it was necessary to test it as an option to reduce the Board Staff's workload (policing insensitive behaviours). Since some male members here made such a fuss about its creation, it made the users of that section feel more stigmatised for its creation, and less likely to use it, or even feel welcome here. It proved the point of needing to deal with this behaviour in some way - so now it'll just be up to the Board Staff to monitor and penalise any insensative gender-based behaviour. Unless you are in a minority demographic, trying to blend into an opposing demographic unnoticed, it's not possible to comment on their perspective.

    - Merged 3 of the Intro/info topics into one, to clean up a bit of the clutter in the intro section.

    - Also did some general maintenance, cleanup and backing up of the board, which has to be done from time to time.

That should be it for a while, in terms of major changes here. But I'll still take on suggestions, and gague opinions on them.

    I like the changes.

Only one still oustanding is the merging of the toy threads.THey can all sit in their subforum imo.

I think that while that's fair of u, u've got to remember, you are allowed and entitled to have ur views as u run this place. It's voice is whatever voice you want it to be. I don't see it as prejudice.

It does not mean u have to compromise how u feel. Someone want to project their views? they can start their own forum putting their views across. So don't feel as if u have to appease and that you are prejudiced. We can all lean a certain way, have certain view. That's only natural. And when u have created this site as u have, you are god damn entitled to project ur view. After all our views represent our values. What are we if for the sake of compromise you appease others when it is you who have created this place and made it was it is today.

If you're referring to the non-TFs sections that are for other toys - they will be gone, soonish, onto their own forum.

is there any chance we can have a subsection within each of the Unicron's oblivion subforum that will just be for member's sales associated with that particular group of toy??

i.e. "Lego Sales" subsection within the "Lego" Section, "Mattel Sales" subsection within the "Mattel" section, "All Other Toys Sales" subsection within the "All Other Toys" section etc.

I'll have a look at it.
