Considering the $50 price tag of Voyagers these days, I'm happy to settle for a smaller size that's half the price, besides when was Straxus ever huge?

For the alt mode... as a G1 fanboy, yes... objectively speaking, no.

I don't mind this Earth-mode incarnation for Straxus - still fresh considering that he's never been to Earth.

WFC Megatron appears to have been inspired by TF Animated Cybertronian Megatron (in the first episode), which does look vaguely like the original Straxus design from Marvel. From the same Marvel perspective, I don't think that's a bad thing; considering that they're both Decepticon overlords, why wouldn't it be logical for Straxus to have a variation-design on Megatron's original Cybertronian alt-mode? The character also makes some clear links to Marvel/G1 Galvatron

But was of equal height to Dirge, although so was Megatron. Personaly I think Blaster just grew latter in the comic.
