He arrived to me yesterday. I like the figure a lot, he poses well in his robot mode, and the head is very cool. The punching feature didnt get in the way as much as I feared it would. i dont have Ratchet yet, so I was surprised at the size of the vehicle mode; Yeah its hollow, but the size overall is quite impressive.

In the end is probably slightly above middle of the road for animated. Nice, nothing wrong with him at all, but not amazing.
i do NOT Play with toys...

But I DO occasionally do scale model assisted simulations in physical fight dynamics.

For some reason his alt mode reminds me of a Tachikoma out of Ghost in the Shell.

    Solid looking figure though.

    I'd call him jaffacakes.

Got to mess around with Griffs version, and after playing with the Cybertronian Ratchet version, I like the mold as a whole, and really dont mind that Ironhide is Jaffa orange rather than red. Its different, in a good way.

Totally, that's the first thing that sprung to my mind too. Big fan of both modes and the new head for Ironhide is great, very Roman Centurion like! I'd be lying if I said the colour doesn't bother me though, he just doesn't look right next to his Animated friends in that bizarre choice of orangey-red. Did anyone else think it was equally bizarre that the recent 'chrome finish exclusive deluxe' was Bumblebee and not Ironhide? Ironhide would have actually made sense in chrome!

Ironhide shows Lockdown who's boss, his wry smile a sign his enemy is already defeated. "I wonder what parts I'll find aboard Lockdown's space ship." he thinks. "Maybe he'll have some of that Ketchup stuff that human, Sari harps on about that I can smear all over my body."

Wow! Yeah, Ironhide in chrome would have been awesome!

Wow. I so miss the Animated figures and this reminds me why. I never had Cybertronian Ratchet but I feel this mould is suited more for Ironhide. Big bulky and some of the cleverest conversion I've had the pleasure of doing. I thought this would have been a simple conversion but I was wrong. Too awesome. Now to find the Ratchet version.
