Looking at the blue, I much prefer it over the Henkei. I may buy this one.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago (online) and I'm really enjoying this toy. Highly recommended if you can find him.

I got him. He is lovely.

Seriously, if you need only one Dirge, this is the Dirge you need. The colours and paint apps are much nicer than the botcon and henkei versions IMO.

That said, I'm sure all three look nice on display together.

When displaying seekers, I think consistency is king. Having a shelf with a couple chromed Henkei, some well pained Botcons and some duller Classics/Generations isn't a very good look. As chrome contributes to my nostalgic enjoyment, I personally prefer a unified Henkei, chromed look. I hope United brings back Chrome rather than just going metallic.

Unfortunately, for those not going the Henkei route, I fear that Botcon Thundercracker is your only hope of consistency. While Hasbro has gotten away with releaseing the Henkei Thrust and Dirge molds as they are obviously different than their Botcon variants, I don't see any way they can get away with that with Thundercracker without upsetting Botcon (by being too similar) or disappointing fans (by being too different).

It's funny the full circle that pricing for Botcon seekers has taken. Thundercracker used to be the big one, fetching for over US$250 in 2008. Then Henkei Thundercraker came out, TC prices plummeted, and Botcon Thrust was the big catch. And now, most recently, Generations Thrust has appeared, Henkei Thrust prices have plummeted and Botcon Thundercracker is again the big catch.

I think I might be the only one not to *highly* recommend this. I still like the figure though.

I bought dirge because of the character and the new wings.
I already own more than one of the mould/remould so nothing is new here. Buy this if you like the character or mould (colours, to a lesser extent). And of course, to complete the conehead seekers. Other than that, if you already own this mould and don't care about the above, don't bother.

You aren’t missing out on anything (imo).
