Thumbs down TRU Green Legends Devastator IS on sale

ToysRUs seems to have an understaffed customer service, as it took since Friday to get through.

I finally got onto someone today about the Legends Devastator in their current catalogue.

Now, according to their computer system, the Devastator set is supposed to retail for $80, but came into stores on sale at $60. So with the catalogue saying $70, the set is still discounted by $10, and is likely to go up to $80 after the catalogue ends on 26th October.

Makes them even more scalperish than usual... The Target version is $40, half the price.
(and with the current exchange rate, it'd be a lot cheaper to import - the US retail is about US$33/AU$35)

not the first time they have done something like this...

kinda sickening that it may cost 80 to buy.

Is there a difference between the Target version and the TRU version?

wow... I thought $60 was bad but $80?!?! I could buy a leader toy or even the supreme devastator for an extra $7-$8!

I got my Target version in their last big sale (where everything was 20% off) but I could never pay $80 for a green-version, no matter how much I want an alternative version. I'd be thinking more about how many days, how many hours, that $80 could take off my mortgage.

Not a good sign for a prospective purchase.
