Ya know, FIRRIB in RtS does NOT change the fact that it's RIRFIB in almost every other medium. Basically this will just mean that it's FIRRIB in the G1 cartoon and Reveal The Shield... but it's still RIRFIB in the overwhelming majority of other G1 mediums.

I think in the end I might just get the Hasbro RtS versions of these toys, despite the FIRRIB -- but when I play with them they'll be RIRFIB in the Gokiverse. :/ It still bugs me though. Gah.

I'm also unimpressed with Rumble's bio attributing his earthquake generating ability to piledrivers. Rumble's original G1 bio states that he generates low-frequency seismic waves into the ground to create earthquakes. That's one thing I liked about the original bios for Rumble, Frenzy and Soundwave -- they all had abilities that were related to sound... (Soundwave has super hearing and Frenzy's a Banshee) which was cool cos it suited the theme of them having audio equipment as alt modes. The cartoon kinda missed the point when they changed the nature of Rumble's ability to that of using piledrivers (although at least he still had it - Frenzy never used his Banshee powers in the cartoon -- it was used once by Soundwave (in the form of 'audio disruptor waves') in "The Ultimate Doom" - but Frenzy himself suffered the indignity of being a 'Rumble clone' in the G1 cartoon )

And if they really wanted to make RtS Rumble create earthquakes with piledrivers... does the toy have piledrivers? That's one thing I liked about Galaxy Force Rumble (aka Cybertron Scrapmetal) -- his hands could transform into piledrivers; a nice touch. It'd be nice if Rumble came with piledriver hands and Frenzy came with loudspeaker hands (which would be a homage to the "Super Banshee" upgrade that Wheeljack did on him in Generation 2) -- it'd be a nice tribute for each character and help to differentiate them from each other instead of just being straight repaints of each other. Hey... I can dream...
