Not on the front. We rarely get to see the back of packaging before they get released to stores, hence the 'easy to see' bit.
When I'm posting news or adding to the checklist, I'd like to know the allegiance as soon as possible. Something we don't get now with RtS toys until a long time after we first find out about them (or see a pre-production figure with the sticker/painted symbol on it).

    Fair enough.

On a side note, have there been any further announcements of further RTS waves (Deluxe & Voyager) past the current one (Wreck Gar, Perceptor, Deep Dive, et al)?

We might get some of those retooled head redecos as one more wave before the TF3 toys hit (with time for the stores to clear shelves before the movie stock arrives). Then we'll probably have a hiatus until after the Movie 'season' is passed.

But Takara have been the ones that are more likely to change colours or add decos to closer resemble the cartoon appearance of a character than the Hasbro versions... so surely Takara will keep Rumble blue, like in the Gen1 cartoon?
Hasbro should have been the one to release Rumble as Red, to match the original Toy Version, which has been their inspiration in previous toy homages that Takara later changes to homage their cartoon appearance.

Rumble was red in the Japanese G1 cartoon. Frenzy was the blue one.

Wasn't Frenzy blue in the Japanese cartoon? I thought he was.
EDIT: Sky Shadow's answered my question.

Anyway, I was really only joking... I think Takara could have fun and call him Frenzy - then the debate would rage on

Ah okay, so we should definitely see Rumble as Red in Japan and Frenzy as blue, as their Gen1 cartoon and toys were the same.
If it's true that the two are being released as a two-pack in United, the packaging could leave it vague to appease fans of the US cartoon and those who follow the colouring of the toys.
