Something tells me this entire wave will be in high demand!

Congrats to those that don't already have TC... I'll be grabbing him too even though I already have the Henkei version

    (Just saw jay's post)

TC looks pretty good although somewhat darker shade of blue.

    Def will pick him up!

Kinda suprised they didn't go with the cartoon light blue.

Gah, not sure a fan of this colour, but at least it'll be different from the Henkei colours...

I find it funny that people in that seibertron news post are upset about just buying the KO thundercracker... and some even complaining that Hasbro didn't give them enough notice about it to prevent them from buying the KO.

I can't but help wonder if the rise of the KOs would have assisted Hasbro in breaking their agreement (or agreeing to a new one) with FunPub regarding this figure. It's certainly doesn't look very different to the FunPub one.
Even if there was some sort of agreement of exclusivity, it is Hasbro's prerogative as the property owner to produce any item it sees fit, at any time. FunPub essentially 'beg' Hasbro to produce these toys, so they won't risk cutting themselves from the source by complaining about it.
We've also seen other exclusives appear at sources other than their initial store (like the TF1 Target Scouts, SDCC Alternators, etc) and those stores still 'beg' for more - there were probably disclaimers or jurisdiction issues that allows Hasbro to re-release or redeco any figure at any time. Hasbro owns the moulds, the characters and all associated concepts (like colour schemes), so can do anything they want.
And even if this one was the exact same deco as the BotCon one, it will be almost 4 years since that earlier one, so I think it's been enough time for people to not be as upset about it, as those collectors will have had 4 years of 'elitism', and the toys will still be worth a lot as BotCon exclusives.

Wow. Almost never do I want an entire wave, but I can't say no to any of Thundercracker, Scourge, Wheeljack or Kup!

Looks like they did the same thing that BotCon did and gave Thundercracker a 'medium' blue. Not as light as the cartoon, but not as dark as the original G1 toy and Marvel comics. So it's like a compromise to appease both groups of fans, which I think works well.

    +1

I already have Gentei Thundercracker, but I'll pick up a RtS Thundercracker too. Scourge's wings look a bit weird -- but that's just my G1 fanboy bias kicking in. Objectively speaking Scourge's alt mode looks a lot better than G1 Scourge's since it's clearly meant to be a bomber jet (whereas G1 Scourge's alt mode seriously looks like a boat! :P)
