    Default MP Rodimus Convoy issues

I'm not getting this, but I just thought I would give a heads up about some issues the toy has:

    1. Hands are mis-assembled, making it difficult for him to hold his guns. It seems the palm piece is reversed.

    2. When putting Hot Rod into the Rodimus trailer, there is a chance the trailer will scrape yellow paint off Hot Rod's spoiler.

Overall, reviews and comments I have read suggest that Rodimus is complicated and fiddly.

    Good luck!

I just emailed RK asking them to cancel my order and refund me.
After reading TFW I don't want to spend all that money on what is a piece of crap.
It seems these problems are on all the figures on TFW.

Well, I wouldn't say he's a bad toy (though one dude's Rodimus' right forearm half broke off), just that he needs kid gloves more so than previous MPs. Looks fantastic in vehicle mode, at least.

I read through most of it, and some of the issues seem to be them not lining up the panels properly when they transform it. There are a few QC issues, but I think they are over-exagerating the problems a bit.

Sounds the same as Megatron and Starscream - complicated and fragile, but it didn't stop everyone from buying them. I feel that this is a 'Masterpiece' line for a reason - complex and expensive... and worth it once you get it.

Mine has no QC issues (unless you count the tight squeeze on the spoiler, which is either a design issue or paint that is too thick). I'll have to check my hands later, but as is they hold the gun quite securely unless you close his grip too much, it will push the gun out... not a big deal imo. Be prepared with lots of patience for lining him up during transform though!

*So far* it seems a small handful of Japanese fans on Amazon.co.jp aren't happy with Rodimus either, judging by the low scores it's getting.

I believe that is the problem with the hands that people are talking about.

Yeah i edited above, on second look at the diagram it does look like that might fix it. I don't recall seeing another pin slot (it looks like it moves down the hand a bit closer to the fingers?) Will have a look tonight.

The reviews on amazon are basically just mirroring the TFW thread, lots of people seemingly unaware that you have to pay attention during transformation. Overall, i think it's fantastic - looks awesome, poses incredibly well.

can someone please translate the japanese text in FFN's diagram for me?

in step 2, it looks like you have to 'cut' the piece out which cant be right?
    is there another pin slot?

otherwise, im just gonna have to wait until mine arrives.

Had a nice box waiting for me when i got home I can confirm that it is a pain to transform and care needs to be taken. It does roll and the hands fit nicely into the side. You need to make sure the feet are in the correct position.

Overall its a awesome figure, I like how its got all these extra gizmos to play with and its does look the part next to optimus.
