I finally finished painting the alt mode for Studio Series Bumblebee (still have to add matte clear coat). I took the worn look a bit further than I intended but oh well.

Bot mode is next, expect some dry brushing!

Thanks, I used Humbrol enamels, there is a colour conveniently named "rust". For the centre of rust spots I mixed in the rust colour, some dark grey and some black.

I also thinned the paints to help them blend into the underlying colours. I found that the best effect came from sponging on some thinned black and smearing it before adding the rust layers.
