It's very simple - because for much less than it would cost to buy a complete G1 junker or toy with sticker wear and scratches, you get the same toys and they're minty fresh.
(Though sometimes suffering from mould degradation.)

Also the encore cassettes come with cassette cases, which are a small bonus that I love.

Cassettes like Ratbat are hard to find without broken ears, plus the price of one or two full accessories original tapes is about the same as an reissue pack.
