Yeah, GiG originally called their Transformers 'Trasformers' in the '80s and had both Transformers and Trasformer logos on their boxes until 1988. 'Microtrasformer' is an anachronistic fallback to the old name even though they generally just had the 'Transformers' logo in 1989.

Consonant clusters, while common in English, don't work in Italian, hence the dropping of the "n" in Trasformer.

Yeah Dirge is correct - They are Italian and they came in MISB! It's been decades since I opened a brand new G1 toy

Its pretty nifty as erverything within is written only in Italian including the techspecs but I can read it so no probs

Also, "MicroTransformers" is a term never officially used in Anglophone Transformers marketing. Hasbro just had "Micromaster" + whatever kind of Micromaster it was. In this case the top line would've read "Micromaster" and the line underneath it would've read "Station." It would then read "Micromaster Station" before the character's name on the front of the box.

I suspect that "MicroTransformer" is just some kind of pseudo-English used by GiG for some exotic appeal.

Really? Wow, that surprises me, considering your collection. I enjoy devaluing MOSC and MISB G1 toys. I currently have a backlog of carded and boxed collectibles that I open one by one when I feel the inspiration.

Despite my ever closer to be complete G1 collection - I have only come across 80s MISB specimens in the last couple of months which are carded Micromasters that I got from Jgon.

I have not opened those Micromasters as vintage carded figures to me are kind of like centuries old wine - It's been sealed and undisturbed for so many years - Who em I to open it? It's something that could be shown just as it was on store shelves back in the 80s to future generations

I don't have such issues with vintage boxed figures since opening them does not ruin the package in any way and the figure can be placed back. Those Mircomaster stations were the first I had come across.
