Toys 'R' Us $39.99 Transformers Universe Ultra 16th-22nd Septemeber
Saw it on Lasoo's webite today

Popped into Parra TRU and it seems like all ultras (good time to get those TRU exclusives) & for some strange reason they had normal voyager universe figures also stacked up for $39.99

I think I might pick up a Darkwind at that price

Yeah that's right - Do the highly unlikely TrU sale right after I have secured the items somewhere else.

At least I paid that much for Countdown and Darwkind is only costing me around AU$50

I'm guessing you're the guy who called up TRU Bankstown asking about them? I was there buying some stuff for my daughter at about 4-ish and I wandered into the TF aisle to hear a girl on the phone with someone who was asking if they had any Ultras left.
If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you

For those that are interested in the sale, it seems like it's only Countdown and Darkwind that have been marked down (the other non-exclusive Ultras scan at full RRP, at least at the Bankstown store).

Don't know if this should go here or in the sightings thread, but TRU Bankstown has the following stock levels remaining:

    4 x Countdowns
    5 x Darkwinds

They're not on the main display shelf, more rather in the storage area piled above the main TF display.

I got Darkwind & Countdown yesterday. Suprisingly, I was looking forward to getting Darkwind, but got Countdown mostly because it was on sale (picture on back didn't excite me much) and didn't want to drive back if I later found I wanted it. But when I got home, I was quite disappointed by Darkwind (looks like a clown suit imo) and Countdown impressed me! I didn't get a chance to research either before I bought them, so Countdown's split-apart rocket was pretty sweet upon discovery =oP The colour scheme of Darkwind was so eww to me, quite 'kiddy' looking compared to the prototype photo on the back. Also, his alt mode looks nice from the top, but the underside basically looks like his bot mode minus head, and the huge hole at the back where his head is, err, "hidden". Such a shame really, cause I like his alt mode from the top, but that's it... But that's just my thoughts... =oP

Please have a listen to my songs. Feel free to comment if you wish, any constructive feedback is appreciated =o)

I agree... Darkwind is lame whilst Countdown is pretty cool (but the best Ultra toy is still Onslaught in my books!)
