IE using Vista. I know alot of sites coded for use primarily with FireFox have this same issue, so it's probally just a fiddly little thing

Ah ok, I wasn't sure if it was site based or cookie based, I can see now it's site based as I cleared cookies last night and the site still shows the pieces per page I selected when I was on there before.
    Good one

OK, I've tried tackling this slightly differently to see if it solves your refresh issue. Rather than just dynamically replacing the contents of the pulldown menu, I'm replacing the entire pulldown menu. The change in behavior should not be noticeable to the human eye and this should hopefully force IE to render it correctly. Please try it and let me know.

Thanks. To be specific, if a visitor changes it without being logged in, it is stored in a session cookie and will only be retained until they close that browser session. If they make the change when logged in, it will persist across multiple visits/computers/browsers as long as they log in each time.

This is also the same behavior for sorting. Additionally, each list (Acquired, Desired, Selling, etc.) will retain its own sort order. For example, I sort my ordered list by Date Ascending so I can see what's coming in next, but I sort my Acquired list in Date Descending so I can see what I've acquired most recently.

And last tip, each list will remember THREE sorts. So if you sort by Name, then Class, then Line, your resulting list will be sorted by Line, Class, Name subsequently. The sort arrows should be faded in order of predominance. Of course, clicking to sort the same field twice will reverse the sort order.

I personally found this very helpful for viewing just the MISB part of my collection, sorted by Line and Class, to determine what I had doubles of to sell.

Looks like it's behaving itself now in IE, nicely done
