There has been at least one "gay" Transformers relationship -- Tigatron and Airazar. No, that's not a typo -- Airazar is Airazor's Japanese name, and Airazar is male in Japan (in fact, he's voiced by the same guy who does the voice for Street Fighter's Ken -- Shouryuuken!). Surprisingly the romance scene between Tigatron and Airazar was kept uncut in the Japanese dub.

Oui, that is noteworthy. (And as I said above, "the only de-closeted Transformers seem to be the Japanese versions of Airazor and Tigatron, and Tidal Wave being gay for Galvatron in Energon." Can anyone think of any other instances, even if it's platonic male-Transformer love?)
