question on an ebay item (korean box)

I already bought this and waiting for shipping.

toyarena is selling this for 99USD. I got email back from toyarena they said this is "made in Japan".


I am not sure this is just an old box or an old toy in warehouse just boxed newly.

Toyarena is either ignorant or deliberately being dishonest for some reason - these were made in Korea a few years ago. (I have one - it even says "MADE IN KOREA" just underneath the cockpit.) That said, they're fantastic quality in a sturdy box and it's a brilliant toy.

I've never had any problems with Toyarena, they have always been reliable and honest as far as I have been concerned

In this case, I guess he's just misinformed. Then again, Toyarena sells heaps of Korean versions of Takara toys, so he should know better.

2008ish maybe? The box says 2004, but I'm not sure what that's referring to.

I have received this. It is made in Korea instead of Japan, toyarena was not correct.

I bought this one for 28USD, so no complaint. But it won't worth 99USD as toy arena is selling for.

The plastic quality is good. Workmanship is relatively lower than my G1 starsaber and higher than encore. I don't have original sky garry to compare tho.
