The Sydney Opera House, then the battle underwater.

I could be wrong, but right near the very end was there a bit on an air battle (Megatron I think) with Centrepoint Tower in the background, or was it another cities skyline?

Might not match up to anything in the series, but that was a nice anime intro.

That is what i thought, i saw as well.... The "Centrepoint Tower" though it could just representation of Sudamac Tower

and for a moment i also thought that i saw the "Sydney Harbour Bridge" there to... but, after examining that bit more it looks like, it could be just a roof on a building . ( that sign on the front of it is really confusing me.)

Actually that's Tsuutenkaku Tower in Osaka.

I tried identifying the locations in the TFA opening, here's what I think they are:


A: Looks like Sydney CBD (near Ultimo), but I think there's a building in New York City that looks like that too. It's probably meant to be NYC.
B: London
C: Paris
D: Osaka
E: ?????
F: Great Wall of China
G: Giza
H: Sydney
I: Atlantis
J: Washington D.C.

E is Moscow as far as I can tell. You can see more of the background in other frames.

The TFwiki's article on title sequences lists A as NYC's Flatiron building, and E as Moscow.
