I don't really care about her story either way -- but I find it odd how the media initially joined in criticising her when she first embarked on her voyage, and now they're celebrating her return. It's kinda a lot like this.

Funny how some people only like something when it's popular... damn posers.

yesterday morning while I was driving to work the rear-vision mirror in my car dropped off. Ggrrrrr.

What gets to me is how she's supposed to be a 'hero' over this - I'll pay solo sailing around the world is quite an accomplishment, especially at 16, but really...'hero'?

to her credit she said that she doesn't see herself as a hero - just a girl who chased a dream. And good on her for having done that. It's just other people who've given her that label.

As Optimus Prime once said in Episode #28 ("The Core"), "Hang onto your dreams.....the future is built on dreams. Hang on."

This is a quasi-rant... just did the laundry and realised that I'd left some cash in my work shirt pocket. Thank Primus Australian notes are plastic and not paper!

I'm sure there's a lot of young girls out there who look to her as an inspiration, and if that makes her a hero in their eyes then so be it.

Personally I don't know whether she's certifiably crazy or just a very determined young lass who did what she set out to do.

She didn't achieve what she set out to do though - she had to move the goalposts halfway through the exercise.

I have lost my faith in Australian journalism long ago. I cannot even describe it as such as most News programs are more in the realm of Sensationalist reality TV.

I have to send it to Nintendo for repairs. Luckily I have an old chunky DS to cover for it while it is getting fixed
My daughters DS Lite cracked in the exact same spot and now has a floppy screen too. But i'm pointing more towards my daughters fault. She takes her DS everywhere and it occasionally gets dropped But it is the only point on the DS which locks the top screen in it's position so i guess it does take som stress at that exact point.

i think she deserves everything she gets as i know i wouldnt have the guts to sail 6 months around the world in a tiny boat by myself at 32 let alone 16 so give the girl some credit and stop being a douch bag!
