It is a F'UGLY toy!
Put your hands up anyone here who quickly grabbed the first Injector they saw on a toy shelf.
This toy peg-warmed for aaaaages in stores. For months and months I kept walking past rows of dust-gathering Injectors and thinking, "Eww.." Eventually I just caved in and bought one just to satisfy my morbid curiosity... and yep, it's a pretty darn ugly (even by Fuzor standards) and mediocre toy IMO. The beast mode looks like a hornet wearing a lionfish mask for some Decemberween party. And the robot mode just looks ridiculous with the lionfish component "regurgitating" the robot face out.
In terms of technical engineering, the toy is not much better or worse than any toy of its time. In terms of design, I think the "stack a fish on a hornet" is rather underwhelmingly bland and unimaginative. More popular Fuzors have the two beast modes blended in a more interesting way - for example, Silverbolt isn't just a wolf sitting on top of an eagle; he's got the head, body and hind legs of a wolf, with the wings, fore legs and tail of an eagle. I like how Quickstrike is a scorpion whose tail is the body and head of a cobra.
Oh, and from TFwiki:
"Injector is one of the most notorious peg-warmers of all time. To the days of Armada, Toys "R" Us shelves could still be found lined with schools (swarms?) of Injector figures."
I once asked Ben Yee why the hell he gave Injector such a positive review, and he said that there is a considerable amount of effort that's been put behind this toy; and while the results may be questionable, he praised the toy for what designers were trying to achieve with it. So like I said, from a technical engineering POV it's not badly constructed. I think most people dislike it from a visual aesthetic POV.
I do like how Beast Wars Neo portrayed their version of this mould (as well as the other Blentrons) as demonic heralds of Unicron. That did work well with the toy's visual motif IMO.
But yeah, Injector's not my favourite toy... and no, you can't have mine.
heh... you want to buy a 12 year old Deluxe for a third of the price of a current Scout. Good luck! You might find a loose one for the price, but I don't fancy your chances of finding a sealed one. And I think $20 is a good price for a sealed Injector.Originally Posted by sideswipes_brother

Can't be that hard to find can it? Those things were as common as chips... where'd they all go?!? (o_O)
I like the way Jhiaxus once described Fuzors... Transformers WuzzlesOriginally Posted by Verno

...despite the fact that the toy came before the show. I think the dude at Hasbro who had clairvoyant abilities quit her job and bought a Lotto ticket.Originally Posted by Verno
