The big box and apparent lack of quality on the Liger is a bit of a turn off. I saw the big box while I was over in Japan, despite it being no bigger than a standard Revoltech.
I was considering picking it up from Amiami after being buoyed by the Revoltechs I bought while over in Japan which were all cool, but now I'm not so sure.
Seems like Kaiyodo are only good at organic shaped figures.

I would be inclined to agree there, I caved and bought one of the transforming Valyreies as it was only $10 or so. Ended up very dissapointed with it in the end

if you want good zoids buy a kit and put the time in to make it awesome.
if you want eva figures get the robot damashiis or the SOC specs
figma also make some of the figures that revoltech do.

My experience with Figma vs Revoltech has favoured Revoltech. The Figma's I picked up have had pretty simple paint jobs and even then still been plagued by not so great QC, one has chipped paint.
The Robot Damashii series looks pretty good though, although I have no real issue with the quality of the current Revoltech EVA releases given the price difference can be significant. I'm very pleased with The Beast, Eva 05 was ok quality wise but why don't they give you and extra hand piece so it could put down its damn lance???
The Transforming Valkyries didn't look so good, I think they have already hit the bargain bin. Even the old Valkyrie figures were pretty average. I like the YF 19 and 21, but the VF 1 was nothing special.

hahaha, actually now you said that i had to go and google 4chan cos that is the first time i know of it, and sadly i did not get her there, it was a very good mate of mine that got me hook into yotsuba and about to start to read the comic books now!Originally Posted by Dkaris

I havent had so much trouble with my Figmas, but I prefer revoltechs mainly because it feels like you get more bang for your buck. Figmas always seem a little light on accessories.
Having said that, I can't seem to refuse violent schoolgirl figmas for some reason.
Just Got my Nicholas Wolfwood and Rei ayanami today. Rei is lacking accessories, just a heap of hands, glasses, a mobile and some extra faces. One thing I was impressed with was one extra hand is holding a very realistic looking bandage!
Wolfwood is pure awesome! Big guns, twin pistols, lotsa hands, faces and a couple of cigarettes as well. YEH! Love it. Now I need to find some Trigun anime to watch

I'm much the same I have the so called violent school girls too, unfortunately I was unlucky with the one who appears in your sig.
I brought Wolfwood and Vash back from Japan, but I haven't opened them yet, (I brought a lot of figures back Revoltech,Figma and even a Robot Damashi so it's all in good time). The sculpts looks good though, similar to the Sengoku Basara figures which are among my favourites.
The last Revoltech opened was Neo Getter 1, who is quite cool nice glossy paintjob and lots of accessories and an improvement over the older Getter figures, also he's easy to find cheap which helps.
What are the new Fraulein figures like? the early ones seem to be plagued by QC, I have the original Rei but she's very floppy and loose. I would hope they corrected that with the new ones, I almost bought Mari, but I wasn't sure.
